INTRODUCTION OF KERALA FLOODS AND IDUKKI DAM :- IDUKKI DAM:- Idukki Dam is one of the biggest double curved arc dam in Asia which is built in the Periyar river (IDUKKI DISTRICT). It is manufactured and owned by the Kerala State Electricity Board. It supports the 780 MW hydro electric power station in Mulmattam. This dam was built with two other dams in Cheruthony and Kulamavu. Together, the three dams have formed an artificial lake which is 60 km² in the area.
